How this is calculated▾
Bond is capped by state. Most states cap it at 4 weeks of rent for standard rentals. We add your chosen weeks in advance, removalist, and utility connection estimates.

| VIC | 4 weeks | Maximum 4 weeks' rent when weekly rent is $900 or less. Above $900/wk the bond is negotiable (VCAT approval required for higher). |
| QLD | 4 weeks | Maximum 4 weeks' rent when weekly rent is $700 or less. Above $700/wk there is no legal cap (negotiable). |
| WA | 4 weeks | Maximum 4 weeks' rent when weekly rent is $1,200 or less. Above $1,200/wk there is no legal cap. |
| SA | 4–6 weeks | 4 weeks' rent when weekly rent is $800 or less; 6 weeks' rent when weekly rent is above $800. |
| TAS | 4 weeks | Maximum 4 weeks' rent. |
